I was talking about the original "Saw" with a couple of coworkers once. One had seen it, the other hadn't.

Coworker #1 "The ending made no sense. The killer wasn't even in the rest of the movie."
Me: "Sure he was. It was the cancer patient. That's why he was punishing people who didn't value their lives. That was the point."
Coworker #2 "You son of a bitch!!!"
Me: "Uh, sorry."
