My second oldest has a Honda Civic. A similar light came on. She called the dealer and they told her it's programmed to come on after several thousand miles so you'll take it back to the dealer to get it serviced. They told her how to reset it. I think she had to turn the key on without starting it, and then push the tripometer reset button.
I know it sounds like BS but it's the truth. And, it did make the light go off.
