The Yankees teams back in the 90's that actually won had great pitching. Problem is, I do think baseball has leveled off enough that you don't see many big time pitchers hitting the market for them to scoop up. Last year AJ Burnett maybe the biggest name, and he's not that great. This year it'll probably be Zito, who is good, but he walks a ton of guys and probably isn't the guy he was 5 years ago. The Yankees have to make smarter pitching decisions than guys like Jaret Wright and Carl Pavano.
