Do you have your antenna mounted on the outside of the car? I'm able to get away with mine mounted in the rear windshield, but I do on rare occasion experience signal loss. If I had my antenna mounted outside, I likely wouldn't ever have any signal loss. Also, you may be in an area where the terrestrial (ground) signal is weak and you have an obstructed path to the sky. My terrestrial signal is much stronger than the satellite.
