Have you not read my posts? Look at the Chiefs before 1989 and before Carl got here. Ok have you done that? Ok now go look at the Chiefs during the 90's and ever since. Ok have you done that? Ok good.
How can you place blame on a guy that gets you in the position to make the playoffs every year? You can't. I suppose it was his fault we went 10-6 last year and missed the playoffs? Newsflash! 10-6 almost always gets you in the playoffs.
To all of you who say, oh well Carl needs to just start from scratch after a bad year. Here are reasons why it would of been a bad idea to rebuild. Lets look a few of our good seasons shall we?
1990 11-5 ....8-7-1 the year BEFORE
1995 13-3 ....9-7 THE YEAR BEFORE
1997 13-3 .... 9-7 THE YEAR BEFORE
2003 13-3 .....8-8 THE YEAR BEFORE
2005 10-6 .....7-9 THE YEAR BEFORE
What conclusion does this lead to? It would of been a bad idea to rebuild those seasons based on the fact that we had a good season the VERY NEXT SEASON.
When your team's worst seasons are followed by your teams BEST SEASONS this is indicative of a great GM. I guess we should of rebuilded all those years we went 13-3 huh?
Lets see more evidence.. o ya. Chiefs are the 3rd most winningiest team in the 90's. Yes, the same era that included the mighty 49ers, Cowboys, and Bills.
I know how you think a GM should go out on the field at playoff time and win games, but I've yet to see any GM do that. A GM's job is to put your team in a position to make the playoffs year in and year out. Carl Peterson has done that.

The best record the Chiefs had the 17 years before Carl was 10-6. The 16 years after Carl's hiring we've had over half of those seasons be better than that. Considering we went 10-6 last year, and many of us saw that as a dissapointment says alot that the mentality that Carl has molded the Kansas City Chiefs into.
