The statement was made that Herm didn't know how to use a WR. Nothing was said about the overall offense AT ALL. He said, and I quote, "why take a position your not gonna use very much". The stats don't lie, Herm used his WR's more than Vermeil, yet everyone wanted Vermeil to draft a WR. It's nice to see that you don't have problems with double-standards.
As for Tony Gonzales, it's a good thing he was there prior to Vermeil's arrival. Otherwise, his 5 years would have been a COMPLETE failure rather than just a half-failure.
