That can be read as, "I don't blame them, I was the same way back then." To me, he's saying that Carl's a prick, and eventually they'll all find that out. Don't believe the BS that you're fed. He did, and it backfired on him.

I have zero problem with people saying, "I no longer feel that Trent's the leader of the Chiefs." What I have a problem with is people acting like he's lacking leadership quality or that he was never a leader of the team. People act like, since he said this, they've been wrong all along and Trent's really a horrible person and a cancer to the Chiefs. I can't tell you how many times on these threads I've read, "I used to like Trent Green..." or "I used to think Trent was a leader..." Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I just don't see the statements Trent made being antithetical to being a leader.
