He was the Chiefs team leader for the last 6 years. He was the only team leader.

Plus, you are making a mountain out of a molehill. The young guys don't have the experience and haven't gone through coaching changes to see the way things are being handled. Trent's been with several teams and said that on other teams things were handled differently. He agreed that they do not HAVE to run things by him but teams usually give veteran players a certain amount of respect and do run things by them.

It is amusing that KC coaches and players learn everything from the internet. He said he was in the facility for 7 weeks after the season ended. He was rehabbing his ankle. Even though he was in the building every day he was hearing on the internet all the news about a restructure. The team didn't have the decency to come up to him and talk about it until weeks later.

So, Trent is in the facility every day. He isn't given the courtesy of a heads up on changes, which most teams give. He hears about restructuring on the internet weeks before Carl finally speaks with him and broaches the subject. He's told and he's been hearing from Herm that the Chiefs want to get younger and give Croyle every opportunity to be the starter and get the majority of snaps. They want him to be a backup and take a huge paycut. All of that and Green is now the bad guy for wanting a decent chance to start on another team?
