Here's the same principal at work only at a much higher level of intensity
Six thousand feet below sea level, a robotic saw cuts through an undersea pipeline. The saw is cutting a 3 mm (0.1 in) wide gap in the pipe. The pressure inside of the pipe is 0 psi, while the pressure in the surrounding water is 2700 psi (1.3 tons/square inch).
