I di stumble on this fair many years back, and although I was in no hurry to stay...I didnt see sex acts in the street or children running around. I saw alotof bondage stuff, crap for sell etc...but no sex or children. this article, based on my experience with the fair, is very exagerrate and meant to piss off their target reader.

It is a big exaggeration and I don't think that serves the people that do that well either. I have seen kids though.

I don't think we will ever find the middle ground. Facts are the gay guy who goes about his life in an ordinary productive manner is just not of interest to the media or many of the people promoting the movement.

Looking past the parade thing for one minute at the root of the problem we find that gays are a very small percentage of the population, much smaller than the numbers they report. If you look at any small group you find that the mass majority of them are ostracized, it's not just the gays. Even something as simple as being introverted which is only 25% of the population isn't held as being very socially acceptable. Ask anyone who is introverted about the amount of shit they took growing up if you don't believe me. That being the case the only conclusion we can come to is that they will always have difficulties assimilating into society as does most other small groups who get zero exposure. The only thing we can do about it is make sure they have the same basic rights as others and be done with it already. The rest is human nature and is never going to change.
