Of course, determining motive has....and will continue to be a part of our criminal justice system.
However,
PROVING in a court of law that one's political or ideological "beliefs" are behind,
ABSOLUTELY (beyond reasonable doubt,) a particular crime....is much, much more difficult than proving whether a particular action was deliberate/intentional versus accidental/unintentional.
