You guys still have to play there this year.

And I love how people say CU is nothing. Remind me again who was it that CU beat in Boulder just a couple weeks or so ago? Yeah, that's right, OU. Whether you want to believe that game was a fluke or not, the fact of the matter is that they did do it. Their defense is pretty good and they play really well at home. I know they're down right now, but I think Hawkins has them on the path to building up that program to being very good again. Remember all those good Boise State teams over the years? Yeah, that was Hawkins.

I guess it is kind of hard to compare the teams at this point. Your team has to go to CU in a couple weeks and then KSU a couple of weeks after that. We will see if they can get through unscathed. KU fans may be a little excited or overzealous about their football team this year, sure. What the Hell did you expect? It's been a long time coming. But MU fans need to take a step back, as well. You guys still have some things to prove.

I know the above is borne out of frustration with everyone not giving KU their due....and you have a right to have a chip on your shoulder about it. But anyone bashing KU, needs to remember how everyone gave shit to Boise State last year about playing a "cupcake" schedule, yet in the end they beat a pretty good OU team.

By the same token, I think you are wrong about MU. MU, in my book has proved itself (thus far) to be a totally different team than in the past. Yesterday showed that:

1) The loss to OU hurt this team's pride and they decided to take it out on Texas Tech, something in the past that would never have happened with a Pinkel-led team.

2) Mizzou isn't just all about the stud passing game and Chase Daniel. The fact that the Defense rose up and pretty much shut down the Red Raider's #1 rated offense speaks volumes. Plus, MU actually showed a ground game without Tony Temple, which is something i didn't believe would happen.

It's my opinion that KU's win in Boulder against a pretty decent Colorado, and MU's win over Texas Tech, should shut up detractors for both schools.
