I've had PF for years, and sometimes when I get up in the morning I have to hop around until it stretches out. However, there are special inserts for your shoes, which can be obtained from a podiatrist. If you use the inserts it's not a problem. Mind you, I could run like a deer when I was young and in the Airborne and Special Forces. Now I'm 65 and a little slower, but the PF is not a big problem with the inserts.
