I'm not saying that he isn't a great quarterback. I just think that those who are saying he is the best ever (and there are an increasing number of them) are overrating him just a tad.
And, yes, he is surrounded by an excellent team and great coaching staff. Put him on the '77 Buccs and see how he does. Let him bring even a mediocre team to a big win, then call him amazing. (Maybe he'll do this some day, by the way -- if he has a career as long as Elway, Favre, and Montana, he's bound to play for a mediocre team someday.)
