The rich get richer. New England thought of their need for CB, but with the depth in the draft, the Pats realized that the wars to the Super Bowl are fought within the trenches and can wait to address the CB position later. With the 7th overall pick, the New England Patriots go for the BPA as opposed to need and draft the number one OL in the draft, OL Jake Long, University of Michigan.
