Somehow, the Cowboys knew it would fall this way. When Rogers-Cromartie went early, the Cowboys felt confident that they could take the BPA with their first pick and still get their guy with their 2nd first round pick.
With the 29th pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas. No other CB in the draft has the upside, or the downside, that Talib has. What he lacks in physical gifts he makes up for with a tremendous ability to make the big play. This late in the 1st round, that ability was just too hard to pass up.
