Really wanted to go OL here, but Baker and Nicks were gone and I have to believe the 49ers can pick something up in the later rounds. With that in mind, with the 39th pick in the draft, the San Fransisco 49ers select Calais Campbell, DE from Miami
Campbell probably really should have stayed another year and established himself as the dominant DE in college, at 6'8" 280 lbs. he has that kind of athleticism and potential. He sort of just went through the motions in his junior campaign, but maybe Justin Smith can light a fire under him and create a really scary defensive line for the 49ers.
