People here get caught up in Chiefs needs and start applying them to every team. If basically 10 OT's are gone by mid 2nd round, it would have the same odds of happening as the Chiefs making the playoffs next year.
And I'd have still taken Groves ahead of those OT's that went right in front of me. You take the best talent not your most pressing need.

Yes and no. You have to consider need in the equation. If the bpa at pick 7 was Matt Ryan, should NE pick him? Most experts pick McFadden as the best player in the draft, but expect him to fall to between 6-10. Why? Because the first 5 teams have more pressing NEEDS. If he is the bpa at pick 5, I guess we should pick Mcfadden. Jake Long is considered by many to be the best player in the draft and expect him to be gone by our pick. If he is still available, and fills a pressing need, then why should we pass on him? I realize that the draft is deep in tackles, but they are not the caliber of Jake Long. He will anchor the line for the team that takes him for years.
