Again, I think the Bengals, more than anything, could benefit from picking a LB here. It doesn't really matter what kind of linebacker either, since the only spot they've got they filled with Rivers on the first day of the Draft. So, MLB or SOLB? Depends on who's available.

The reason I say this is because they're a truckload of really solid guys left. I wouldn't go with Darrell Robertson or Bruce Davis because they're more like OLB's in the 3-4 than in the Bengal's 4-3. And I wouldn't go Wesley Woodyard because he's really undersized and the Bengals would prefer someone who could play now rather than having to groom Woodyard to play SS.

I do think Marcus Howard's a great pick for them. He needs a little grooming but the payoff will seem to be worth it -- matter of fact, I don't think a lot of people in this mock are aware of Howard's combine numbers.

He benched 27 x's, he has a verticle of 36", and he ran a 4.40 (!!!) at 237 lbs.

His problem is that he's rough around the edges, and he didn't even really have one great season. He played well in 2007 but he didn't even emerge as a stud until the end of the year; he got better as the season went on. But he's unquestionably got the measureables, and he did eventually stand out on a talented Bulldogs team. He's great in pursuit in any defensive scheme that calls for blitz after blitz after blitz.
