I don't think George Carlin has been funny since the 80's...maybe the early 90's.
Saw him here in Omaha and people were actually getting up and leaving...he was going off on these 3-5 minute rants about the world, and people (myself included) were like "George, make us laugh or
!"
His old bits were great. Now he's just a crotchety old bastard...
