When you have yourself a franchise QB, albeit even one with the questions of Matt Leinart, you gotta give him a chance. You can't have two receivers and call it a day -- you need a stronger OL, you need some help receiving, and you need a better run game. The Cardinals mostly delivered on that with this Draft, as Archie Bunker apparently noticed that the Cardinals are trying to fix their defense through FA.
He took a gigantic leap forward by drafting Rashard Mendenhall with their first. Among the more brilliant picks in the Draft, I could not be higher on a player in the Draft than him. After that, their Draft is a lot less sexy. Radovich should help but he was a reach by at least a round. Will Franklin was also a bit of a reach, unsurprising for a Missouri player on this board. The Cards tossed in bookend OLBs with Robertson and Blake, both value picks that will help them in the long run. All in all the Draft was helpful if unremarkable outside of their first selection.
