So according to this article as of March 10, we had over 30 million in cap room.

Now that is trimmed down. And we got rid of JA salary so we have more like 40 million. Add in two 1st round choices though at no 5 and 17. Those bonuses are about 30 million. Usually those bonus are spread out over some years but we do have the option of taking those hits this year.

Now you could say we are cheap. But historically the Chiefs have spent most of the money of the cap each year. It is just a sign of what we are doing.
But this should make it easy to get people into training camp.
