For what it's worth, there isn't much wrong you can do when it comes to drafting for the Patriots. This team has a handful of holes that they could fill in a number of ways, so if there's a userproof team out there when Draft time rolls around, it's New England. If there's a team that can reach for need and get away with it, it's the Patriots.
So while I didn't like their 6th or 7th round picks at all, they can get away with it. While I think Jackson and Abidi are a bit overvalued by New England, they can get away with it. But I don't think you can fault them for taking the #1 highest rated player on the board at least three times their pick was up: Long in the 1st, Crable in the 3rd, and Slaton in the 4th. All three picks were brilliant additions to a very complete team, and with Crable and Abidi coming off the edges the Patriots will probably remain a formidable team.
