I like the Flowers pick. I don't know anything about the off field issues so I can't comment on that. But I would like to point out that the combine 40 time is not that big a deal, IMO. How many times in the past have we picked and/or reached for a guy based on his great combine numbers and it turned out to be a bad pick? Think about that. I would much rather get a good football player. I would much rather get a guy who has proven it over time on the field. Combine numbers are fine. But I would not want to base too much of the pick on those numbers. I would put much more weight on their overall college career.
