Unfortunately, it was all mixed up with the killer teddy bear horseshit. 
And for all the punks who think the special effects in the original Star Wars suck, you have no idea how groundbreaking they were at the time. You're all spoiled by CGI and take it all for granted, but that movie changed everything. The thrill of watching the opening scene in dark theater as a little kid lost in wide-eyed wonder is something you'll never experience, and it's your loss. |
I'm totally with on Star Wars (1977) and Empire Strikes Back (which I saw on opening day at the Midland Theater in downtown KC).
But Return was just a mess. Lucas had been sick at the time, wrote a poor story, didn't oversee the script and hired the wrong director. IMO, it was a completely pitiful way to end a six-story arc.
