When I was a kid from like 6-12 I frequently had out of body experiences. Most of the time I would wake up and not be able to move and then would come out and look down on my body. The first several times it was terrifying I thought I was dead. It's something I wish my parents had harnessed my ability to do instead of telling me it was just a dream.

Just saw this post...I would guess your parent's reaction would be pretty typical...in fact I can't say I wouldn't react the same way if my kid told me about it...but what could they have done to harness it?
