I agree. But it's going to take time for Taylor to learn the new position. Moving from left to right tackle requires a completely different approach to playing the position. Once you move him to right tackle, you can't go back--you can't constantly move him back and forth between left and right. It's too much to ask of the guy.
The good news is, McIntosh is a natural left tackle, so you can move McIntosh to backup left tackle and then move Herb Taylor to right tackle. The problem is, you'll have to start Barry Richardson until Taylor is ready to play a different position. I personally don't think Richardson's all that great, but I think you need to use him until Taylor can be ready to play somewhere else on the line.
I don't think Taylor is the future for the Chiefs at LT. I do think he could have a bright future on the right side of the line.
