I'm guessing that you've become pretty good planners when moving about. No need (or desire) to do four flights because you left your beverage in another room.
You're right, however. The topography of the land doesn't lend itself to a lot of options in single-level living. Would it be correct to assume that a ranch-style house would be even more costly than what are already very expensive multi-level homes?
