I think Judas Kiss is my favorite right now, awesome riffs, intresting drum work, Kirk uses the ultra-high chromatic tap thing on this song (he does this on about three songs on this album- so I'm thinking he really likes that lick, LOL!), and the vocals/lyrics are pretty solid.
Broken, Beat, and Scarred is probably the heaviest track- which I definitely like. My 2nd fav.
All Nightmare Long has a great bass intro from Rob. Definitely an improvement from Newstead. It's great creepy song...for some reason it reminds me of early Sabbath.
I was expecting to Hate Unforgiven 3, but it surprised me. It was pretty decent. Musically it was as related the original as part 2 was, and aside for "ForgiveN" lines it didn't really have to be a sequel. It stands on it's own as a totally new song, and I like that.
The 10 minute instrumental Suicide and Redemption is there for all you like the riffs, but don't want to hear James sing, LOL! Rob has some cool bass solos on that song. He's good, not inventive really, but a good metal player.
Besides the 3 you've already heard (which I like) I think the only others that you're likely to hear as singles is: Judas Kiss, Unforgiven 3 and maybe This Was Just Your Life. Metal stations might must put in the song Broken, Beat, and Scarred to show just how heavy this album is (though I think My Apocalypse already does that fairly well), but this album isn't about selling singles or making hits. It's all about kicking ass and taking names.
I can't wait to see this live! I'm definitely going to buy this album Metallica is back...
