People seem to forget that the Hunts....like many NFL owners, are businessmen.....As long as Carl is filling the seats, selling out Arrohead, making $50+ million in profit, what else does Hunt really want? If he really wanted a SB more than he did to sell out Arrowhead, he would have done what is necessary a long time ago. Carl is the LTGMIPS for one main reason........$$$$$$$$......I can guarantee you that if Carl wasn't puttin teams together good enough to compete over the years, he would have been gone years ago.
JoPo said it best that Carl is great at making us fans believe there is much hope to look forward to for the following season. thats why people always renewed their season tickets......we were always in the hunt for the playoffs until the very last week 17.
After what happened late 70s and 80s with Steadman and Arrowehead being a ghost town, the Hunts wouldnt dare to make the same mistake again. It's the season ticket holders etc that are responsible for Carls long tenure here in KC.
