There has to be something to the notion that the Chiefs have difficulty developing draftees. Too much smoke. There has to be fire. Or, at least a highly serious burning itch somewhere near the nutbag area. But, to your point, the reason defensive linemen stick out in this regard is because we've drafted so damn many of them trying to find a mature, pre-cooked, self-starting, highly-motivated guy who joins the team with a complete package of starting quality NFL-caliber technique. Over.
