How about this? While it may be a challenge, how about finding an assistant coach, perferrably a OC or a DC, who during his time, took over an average or a bad team, and transformed that particitular unit into above average to very solid unit? And not only made the transformation, but was consistent with it.
For example, when I was discussing with Mecca, about the Smith character for the Falcons, he was hired as a DC for Jacksonville and the unit improved during his time there.
Now that he's gone, Jax's D isn't exactly top notch as it used to be.
