Yep. When a team keeps drafting high draft picks and also keeps changing coaches the team will never find who they are. Being a 9-7 team gives a slight chance to slip into the playoffs once in awhile and also keeps the players they drafted in the locker room to develop more. When new coaches keep coming in newer/drafted players are shipped out. Players selected high in a draft are wasted because they don't fit the scheme the new coach is trying to push. Just look at the Saints. Sean Payton came in dumped players that were spent on high draft picks (just look at their track record a lot of their picks are high because they almost always had the worst record every season) and had 1 good draft and haven't seen the top 5 since. Chiefs are in line for multiple top 5 picks in the coming years and that doesn't mean we will be good either. Chiefs need a good coach and that'll be the link they need to show the talent they get out of the draft.
