I think Thigpen is without a doubt our QBOTF now. Anybody who can string together four good-to-great performances against quality teams, with the talent and coaching (or lack thereof) around him is not a fluke. Now it's a matter of getting him a line that will give him time and a defense that will get off the field.
I used to subscribe to the theory that if by some miracle Matt Stafford is on the board, we take him. I still think you give him a long hard look, but no longer do I consider him a must-pick. Thigpen is, for all intents and purposes, "the guy", and if you can get good value on a need position, you take that guy over Stafford. Or trade down.
