Rule 1 - Don't trade players where you don't have viable backups unless you are going to get great value for them.
RB Larry Johnson
- Probably worth a 4th round pick. Do not trade. He can still run the ball. KC would probably have to burn an earlier draft pick to replace him.
QB Brodie Croyle
Worth - maybe a 7th rounder. Trade him.
TE Tony Gonzalez
Worth: 4th round. IIRC only one team was willing to give a 3rd for him this year. He's a year older. Do not trade. Cottam has not proved to be a good replacement for TG.
OG Brian Waters
The OL has enough problems. Why trade away a solid player who has another year or two. Focus on the C, RG, RT.
OT Herb Taylor
He's the only backup that seems to have potential. Why trade it for a 5th round crapshoot?
DE Tamba Hali
Sadly, he's the best DE on the team. Keep him for now at LDE.
SS Bernard Pollard
Not worth more than a 6th. Why not keep him as a backup?
