Uncertainty for potential head coaching candidates who don't know whether the Chiefs will be another opportunity to consider along with Cleveland, Detroit and the NY Jets. Uncertainty for potential assistant coaches such as offensive and defensive coordinators who don't know if the Chiefs will be an opportunity to join a new coaching staff.
It is not just the internal uncertainty that Clark's lack of quick decision on Herm has created... it is also the uncertainty that is projected externally to potential head coaches and assistant coaches.
