there's no need to merge threads...except for special events like hirings and firings...

threads no one responds to will drop

threads that people respond to will stay on top

segregating the draft talk in a draft forum is sufficient to keep things in place...merged threads are abortions

it seems like we are continually trying to complicate and micro-manage things here...like the stupid Microsoft-like prefixes ("Hey, you want to post? Great, but instead of pressing one button, you have to press 3...we call it an upgrade at Microsoft!!")...it really isn't a complex operation, just post...
