The one thing Thigpen has is mobility. With our O-line, even with the improvement, you'd better have mobility or you'll be trading draft picks away for a corpse to be named later. If you need the marquee franchise QB, you draft Sanchez or Stafford and keep building the line. At this stage in our development as a team, you don't give up picks, you get more of them.
Besides, from what I'm hearing (ok, it was one radio interview with Bob Ryan in Boston), the Pats may still need Cassel. Brady's knee might not be ready until October. Don't think that The Hoodie is going to give up September's schedule without one of those two guys in pen.
Speaking of mobility, Sanchez seems to throw very well on the run and isn't afraid to run. Unlike Thigpen, though...he actually seems to want to try and wing it down the field and not give up on the play so quickly. I like that. Despite what Petty Carroll says.
