He's a coordinator that can look competent if he has a hall of fame pass rush and good starting corners. Which makes him indistinguishable from 99% of the other defensive coaches in the NFL.
This is nepotism, nothing else. The good ol' boy network at its finest. Once you get into the league, you coach for life.
