I was going to post a new thread about this, but for now I'll just throw it in here instead.
Quote:
I don't think that it's any secret that people around here are a little uptight about news coming out regarding (until last week) our GM and (now) our head coach situation. Given that, here are a couple points to consider regarding thread titles.
- If you're being intentionally misleading in your thread title (e.g. "Herm fired!" when it's related to something he did with the Jets or whatever), you're gonna get a vacation and most likely lose your thread starting privs. That's the way it's been for a long time now, and probably isn't going to change.
- If you're posting something that you heard from a friend or some obscure web site, there's nothing wrong with that. When we're this starved for information, that may be all we get! However, do us a favor and start the thread with the word "rumor" in the title or add a question mark to the end of your title to let people know that they shouldn't consider your thread to be a statement of fact.

FTR, I think this guy falls under the latter, so I don't see any reason to start throwing the "ban" word around.
