If your offense and defense are good enough, you absolutely do not need special teams.
If you offense is good enough to run a 99 yard drive every time, your special teams don't matter.
If you can covert every 2pt coversion, you don't even need a keeker.
If your defense can stop the other team from any where on the field, your special teams don't matter.
Only teams who suck on offense or defense need special teams. Special teams are for the weak.
