I'd rather have Stafford than Sanchez if we go the QB route. But to be honest I'm not to thrilled about the QB class this season as well. But if we MUST get a QB this season then let if be Stafford, if DET takes him at #1, then say NO to Sanchez. Risking a #3 pick on someone who barely has college playing experience and is leaving college not because he's ready, but more so because of his stock in a weak QB class. His college coach is even saying that he's not ready. That's probably a better source of info than what most scouts can give.
Trade down, acquire more picks, theres less risk, and we have a lot of holes to fill. Lots of cap space to sign players etc. If this was a draft class that had no doubt hands down top3 talent, then I'd go after him, but this season I'm not seeing it, this is the weakest class of top talent in a while.

The point is that it IS A VERY WEAK DRAFT and there isn't anyone worth trading up to get. You can only trade down when there is a player worth more to another team than to yours. You only trade into the top 5 if you have a can't miss prospect at a position of need.
