Really, I'm at the point of just saying, "fuck it." Here I am, either take it or leave it. But then, the inner psychiatrist in me takes over, and I see that she's kinda fucked up, and I want to try and help her out. I think her last boyfriend was abusive or something, cause she kinda acts funny like that sometimes.

Never go into anything thinking you can help/change the other person. Trust me on this one.
