If anything, Cassel's season goes to show how good Tom Brady really is. That offensive line looked pretty atrocious when you don't have a QB who is smarter than the defense.

Damage control. When 3rd string QB Mark Bulger filled in for Kurt Warner, he optimized the Rams' explosive offensive system. Cassel barely kept the engine running in NE. But please, anoint him, it makes my job easier.
Cassel = Derek Anderson without the gaudy stats.

Patriotization of their roster in 2009, you will see an average team between the 20s and a weak team in the RZ. Cassel is not Brady. At least Thiggy can run for 1st downs and score in the RZ with his legs. Sanchez would have been better than Cassel who had not started a game since high school until Tom "never missed a game in my career" Brady was taken out by the Chiefs.
