Socially speaking, because he was on TMZ posing for a camera. National exposure of our hero is always exciting for a Chiefs fan. Less so when he looks like a clown.
Psychologically speaking, how people behave in public is probably a good indication of their personalities. Personalities do much to influence a work ethic. The personality and work ethic of a hero would be of concern to a Chiefs fan. Plus, he totally looks like a dude that beats chicks.
