Glad to see that Self has pretty much the same opinion on the conference tourney as do I.

The thing is, with the Big 12 tournament... I've been a fan of conference tournaments the past three years,. This year, I haven't been as big of a fan. Obviously, we won it the last three years. The conference tournament is important, but not as important as the regular season. No one can ever convince me of that.Unless, you need it to play your way in, like Baylor. But I know there is a correlation because you always want to win when you have a chance to win a championship. But it cracks me up when you hear people say they are such and such champion because they won the tournament. No, the champion is the team that won the regular season. The won the won the postseason tournament, is the post-season champion. So we accomplished 50% of what we want to do. Missouri was hands down the best team in the Big 12 tournament. I lost sleep in the first couple of days after we got beat. But I don't think about that now and our players don't either. When you lose in the conference championship, you're down. but this is just the pick-me up for where you need to be.
