More is not always better.
NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL seasons all are already too long, IMO.
NFL players are not machines. Extending the season will merely water down the product.
But another game or two sure would bring in a lot more money, maybe enough to offset the ad revenue they're losing.
Edit - The ad revenue the networks are losing, which will surely result in lesser tv contracts.
