It is impressive, but sounds like he needs to work on timing just a touch, and not trying to hard to get his voice as deep as he can. But that's very fixable, if he has any rythm (it's harder than you'd think to strum and sing). He transitioned into the chorus beautifully, with the higher tones in the song. I thought he might have some trouble with that, but he didn't.
Still it's very impressive.
