I thought it was absolutely hilarious and brilliant. The rest of the management team didn't get it at all (which should be of no surprise because they didn't get Eminem at first either, until the money started flowing).
I think they may have "broken even" but they didn't make any money for our company. And before you knew it, they broke up.

Of course they didn't get it! That's why they're suits.
The thing about The Darkness is that the music is AWESOME. The guitar solos are ripping, yet tasteful. The melodies are catchy. The rhythms are crunchy. Musically, they're a very, very good band. Without the vocals, they'd STILL be an AWESOME band.
But then he opens his mouth and the whole thing jumps the shark.
Permission to Land is the only album in my playlist where every song is 5-star rated.
