I'm not the one suggesting it means something definitive. There is a large contingent of people here that have said Cassel IS the future simply because we traded for him. They have suggested it doesn't matter that he hasn't signed a contract.
He hasn't signed a contract. That, in and of itself, means nothing definitive, you're absolutely right.
By the same token, the fact that we traded for him - when combined with the fact that he doesn't have a contract - does not mean anything definitive either. Despite the protestations from the "Cassel is our QB" crowd.
